The Task Force
The Public Art Task Force was appointed by the City Commission in the fall of 2002. It examined model public art
programs from across the United States and in Florida. They prepared a draft ordinance and table of contents for the
program guidelines. These were accepted by the City Commission in April, 2003. The task force was dissolved.
In the fall of 2004, the City Commission asked the Implementation Commitee to re-examine the program proposal and the ordinance
was tabled.

Implementation Committee
The Public Art Implementation Committee was re-appointed by the City Commission in February, 2004. The Committee
wrote the Public Art Master Plan and completed its work in July 2004.
